cmatthewbacon
...well, I guess not really transkits: does anyone do cycle mudguards or a different nosecone or some appropriate Minilite wheels? I'm tending towards KAR120C, but I just thought I'd see if there was anything a bit more unusual on offer... best, M.

Well I basically made my own Caterham transkit out of your various resin parts a few months ago so you can't be that far off... 😀

I was hoping something might be, and you'd be top of my list of suspects! Feel free to indulge in a spot of direct marketing if and when there is... best, M. Toftdale
Acu stion do a quite comprehensive upgrade set as well as there standard one, however I wouldn't call them value for money. https://acustion.net/shop/staff-blog/super7/?sl=en
mbdesignart
Am I correct that the cost of the upgrade set converts to around £135.00? 🤯
malpaso
Is the OP thinking of a transkit to S3 / Caterham? I guess a bit of effort could put a Revell / Tamiya Mini A-series into the S2, which was a period alternative, could the Ford Kent(?) in the kit be modified to a cross flow easily? There’s always the sort-of-BDA and kind-of-similar-to-minilites in the Esci /Revell/ Italeri Escort! I can’t see scratching the cycle wings being too challenging, though I don’t think they do much for the 7s look.
mbdesignart
I'm busy working on TransKit parts for conversion of the 1/24 Tamiya kit to Cat7, more news on this in the new year.

Scargsy
Oooh looks interesting! If it's not too insanely priced I could be tempted, never really been a fan of those original Lotus 7 style front fenders!

That style of road wheel shouts Caterham HPC to me, which came with the Vauxhall red top. What are the economics of producing resin engines?  It strikes me that you already offer your kit car front and rear suspension / Jag IRS for scratch builders. Add a Vauxhall Redtop to your portfolio and and you've then got a full HPC package, an engine that would appeal to Italeri Escort builders and a general kit car engine for scratch builders using your kit car front and rear ends... The wheels look like the Prisoner Alloys to me, which I believe were more synonymous with the K-series.  Probably not as commercially viable as the Vauxhall, but it would get me grabbing for my wallet
Marco F.
I hope cycle wings for the front will be included, because it look like up to now there are only wider ones for the rear Marco F

The version I'm aiming for is to tie in with a certain Moke kit. I won't be doing every version known to man, life is too short and I've other things planned. As you point out there are plenty of other bits out there for the clued up modeller, exclude me from that category, to build their chosen version. The remaining test shot parts will hopefully be printed this week and as soon as I have them you'll all have to look 'somewhere' 😉😃 or wait for the phantom photo poster 🤣 As to producing resin engines it starts wih being able to create a master...  Marco F - Yes. 3
mbdesignart
An update on the conversion parts. The cycle wing supports have caused some head scratching regarding the best production method. I am awaiting some test 3D printed examples, hopefully these will work a lot better than my Uri Geller attempts at bending brass rod. These are the final items for the set and most of the other parts have passed the rigorous IPA [individual Plastic Assembly] test. Now I need a pint of another form of IPA 😉
