Hello

Just to know : what about the Revell A330? (besides it's a -300 IIRC) .

Just because I had my mind set on the idea that the B757 was poorly served in 1/144th scale (as probably the B727, B707, A300-600 or later versions of the A340 plus some others) and I did not have included the A330 in my list. Anything to know about the Revell kit?

Best regards..

Eric B.

Pretty hard to come by and when it does, isn’t cheap.

Hi,

Thank you both. So a matter of availability and price, not kit quality then.

It would be great if Revell could make some of their older kits available again.

Cheers

second that. In case some zvezda guy reads it, disregard all above :D and go for the 727... haha so unlikely, but dreaming is allowed isnt it...

Might not be as unlikely as you think. The 727-200 was a popular airplane, both for its looks and its great performance. We "might" be dreaming if we expect to see a 727-100, but I'd really like to be proved wrong. And speaking of 727-200s, can we have a 1/72 scale version, please?

No one would buy a quality 1/72 injection molded 727 quicker than I; however, I will be crowned emperor of Mizar V before one is issued.

We've seen a 1/72 737-200 and a 1/72 737-800 and it wouldn't surprise me to see a 1/72 727-200 follow ... perhaps not soon but I'm very inclined to believe it's not out of the question. I'll most happily call you Emperor when that happens.

Thanks for posting that Airliners.net image as a link rather than directly.  They can get a bit funny about copyright infringement, with good reason.

That has to be a 1st in the airliner model kit range, a brand providing different wheel designs, a very good initiative from Zvezda. I hope we will be getting both engine options in the same box, as they did with their A320/A321 releases.

It seems now a given they abandoned the "Ultimate Kit" concept of providing extended high-lift devices, but continuing to provide us with detailed flight decks, see-through fan blades in most cases (it looks to be the case with this 757 kit) and in this case different types of wheels, means they certainly have no plans skipping on details.

What a great brand !!!

It's a shame that they put the wifi antenna housing on back to front (seems a bit tall, too). It looks like it was just placed on for the photos as it's in different positions in different photos.

If it's close to be being released, I'm surprised we've not seen any sprue shots yet.

there you go...

if this is what it looks like, they will print money with this thing. Something a guy on acafe noted:

The instruction sheet tells you to gut off many windows of the clear part, which clearly indicated preperation for a 757-300

Out in the UK and first delivery already sold out at Hannants.

Apparently under-delivered to the UK Importer, so everyone's deliveries cut as a result. More due in about 10 days.
