It has happened elsewhere but not as bad . Simon. That sometimes happens to me when I use Oramask for the transparencies; if you brush some Future/Klear/Aqua Gloss along the edges of the mask, it will stay firmly in place for as long as you need it. Spookytooth
Thanks @bbudde, @elger, @dogsbody, @AliGauld and @giemme. Well, I got the canopy together and once set applied the masks. The blisters will be given a dab of masking gel/fluid. I also attached the nav`s seat to it support by cutting and drilling a scrap of plastic to the bottom of the seat (it won`t be seen). That`s now ready for priming, when I don`t know. I have my first covid jab tomorrow, so I will see how I feel on Thursday/Friday. You all stay safe. All comments welcome. Tomoshenko
Quick catch up missed the previous updates. Greenhouse canopies are a real pain as we all know, but when masked up well they look the business. Yours is looking good. I didn't use masks took me blinkin' days. Do like the milliput cushions.

Cheers Tomo, I have had a look at those escape hatches on the roof, quite pronounced on the kit but reference pics show that they are not flush either so I will probably sand then down a tad. Thanks @bbudde, @dogsbodyand @rob85. I am not up to any spraying today but decided to have a go at scratching the bomb aimers rest. I cut some card to size and added some reinforcing strips for the "legs. The P.E. bit I messed up. And with the other leg added. Will leave to set before tidying it up. You all stay safe. You can check out how I dealt with the hatches in my thread (link posted a few pages ago). However, I feel this gentleman used a better technique by enlarging the holes for the glazed sections and gluing a piece of masked acetate in their place. A combination of mine and Simon's modus operandi would be to file the hatch area so it is flatter and less pronounced - which is what I did, then as per Simon's method below, drill out the hole for the glazed sections (slightly) wider, then stick on the acetate: https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235028024-airfix-lancaster-iii-ee136-ws-r-spirit-of-russia-9-sqn-1943/&tab=comments#comment-2845802

She’s a big bird with lots of nooks and crannies, you’re doing her proud. Bravo. 👌 Johnny.

Spookytooth
Hi folks, I am really sorry for the delay on this build, but a major attack of apathy and life stepped in. I was get really cross with myself over the mistakes I was making etc and just could not face the bench. Here it is at this moment in time. And yes, I have got a new camera, well, second hand anyhow. I will endeavour to get back to things shortly but until then I will observe the builds going on from a distance so to speak. And , yes, I have had my second jab, with no after effects to. Catch up with you all soon. Simon.

Second one yesterday and I feel like rubbish today. Still off to spray some paint about to try and distract myself. Cheers, Alistair

The Spadgent
Hey Simon. Great news about the 2nd Jab. I have another month to wait for mine. Take your time kid. Don’t forget it’s all about having fun right. 😇🙌. Johnny
Spookytooth
Well, hi folks, me and my big mouth eh!!! So much for getting back to the bench quickly. A 1:1 build came up. i.e. the bedroom was decorated. (been here 5 years nearly and didn`t get it done until now.). This meant moving the bedroom furniture into the front room, right in front of the bench, but all is done now (Oh for a spare room). Meanwhile , the bench became a dumping area. Now tidied up a bit, I was able to do a little. The radio op`s seat got a cushion , made from PPP. We will see how it cures. I am now waiting for a delivery from Amazon while keeping tabs on the Test match. Hope to get a bit more done later. Simon.
