Tiger331
Hi Folks, I'm currently researching the possibility of building a USAF or USMC V-22 Osprey in 1:72 scale using the Hasegawa kit. The issue is that the only kit that seems to be readily available is a JGSDF variant and I'm wondering if this would be OK ?. I dare say there are differences in the 'lumps and bumps' that adorn the various sub-variants (MV-22 etc) but are they all, essentially, the same or do I need to look out for a specific boxing ?. Thanks in advance
Robert
Have you checked out the Hasegawa instruction sheets for the Osprey, they are useful to know about 'lumps and bumps' https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/search?typ1_c=102&cat=&state=&sold=0&sortid=0&searchkey=V-22&spage=1&Make=Hasegawa Regards Robert

Thanks in advance Seems most have given you the information needed for your build. These were taken some years ago and missed the last open house so I don't know what modifiications were done over the years. These should get you started. Hope these get you started on your way. Billy54
Not a MV-22 expert nor do I know the difference between the US and Japanese versions however the US version seems to available on e-bay right from sellers in the US and Japan. A couple of months ago, I picked up a couple of the US Ospreys from sellers in Japan (around $60.00 US including shipping).. Hope that helps. 72modeler
HLJ shows the 1/72 MV-22B kit E41 for $27.34 USD- they show them to be out of stock but can be ordered, You could check to see what shipping costs would be- they have announced a low-cost small airmail packet option is available. Julien
If building a USAF one pick a time frame and a picture and build from there as the Lumps, Bumps and antenna seem to change a lot
