WV908, I've been wondering that myself... I can't find any info about the pod. I have the books about German Phantoms but they don't share any light on this.

Cheers,

Antti

I'm hoping to butcher it into an RAF gun pod if it has no use for an RAF Toom and if it's big enough.

Cheers,

I didn't have the time to go through the entire thread, so apologies if this has been posted already.

This is a link to Jumpei Temmas amazing Phantom drawings. Various versions including the fg.1, crossections and everything. That guy is a true master.

I will do a proper WIP sometime soon.

Just got to add the ILs blade antennas to the fin and it is done.  This fin modification with revised panels and rivets etc was a bigger job than  thought it would be!

Hi all,

I am on the homestretch with the FGR-2 but having some problems sourcing decals or info. Does anyone have a good photograph or sketch showing the wingwalkways?

I believe they outlined in yellow with red short lines alongside?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

I don't know if this helps shed some light on the shape of things?

I don't suppose there's any chance that you have the other sheet of these, or better yet, anything similar for the recce pod? Both of them would probably prove extremely useful!

Thanks

Sorry no, the recce pod is a bit of a holy grail, it must have had it's own AP which as yet I've not seen, if I ever do get my hands on one I'll be posting as much as I can.

Lack of potential sales I think. Maybe a Japanese or Israeli modeller would be less inclined to buy what is a special-to-country variant, though we British modellers are happy to model JSDF/IAF if the interweb and decal adverts are anything to go by. Personally, I want a 1/32nd RF-4B. How many were built? From the top of my head, about 30. And all for the USMC. Even more specialised, so I don't expect ever to get one.

Still waiting for news about the HK Models' 1/32 scale British Phantom... That RF-4B would be interesting too.

Why has the british variant not been covered after all this time, not even any official conversions by anyone?  And yet, so many US variants

If you want to do it the hard way then you can see the work involved on my build in the WIP section.  I had no idea there were so many differences!

Yes we need a kit. Until then we gotta hack plastic!

Cheers Anthony
