1/72 Revell SdKfz 251/8

Recommended Posts

Dear fellow Britmodellers,

this is my 1/72 Revell SdKfz 251, converted to a Battlefield Ambulance.

The kit I used as a basis comes with flame throwers (Revell Nr. 03197) - it's cheap and widely available.

I picked several of these boxing from a second-hand-sale some time ago.

All weaponry was discarded, and the interior was adapted according to original photographs:

I added two stretchers (from the venerable Escí 251 kit), the blankets were made from tin foil.

Stowage items are from Black Dog.

The tarpaulin rails were made from wire.

I painted the model with Gunze/Mr.Hobby acrylics (H404 Sand, H80 Green, H47 Red Brown).

All photographs by Wolfgang Rabel.

Hi Again My Friend Roman:

Congratulations for this beautiful little Masterpiece you show us here!!!

I was watching the nice details you have added to this nice build and was made me thinking about a project I have had on mind a long time dealing with some vehicles…but unfortunately had no ideas and really wanted not to go inside the Armor building techniques at that time. Maybe one of these days will go after the small kits in this scale I have and go for something wonderful getting the proper inspiration from the builds you shares here.

Thank you very much for sharing!!!

Cheers!!!

Luis Alfonso
