leyreynolds
I'm looking for details of Type L's in RNAS service, especially those in the Aegean.
expositor
Not that this is any real help, but there was an RNAS Type L piloted by a Flt subLt Warneford who downed a Zeppelin in 1915. It was number 3253(?) possibly with French cockades on the wings. Don't know what the RNAS used in the eastern Med other than the Short 184 that early in the war. leyreynolds
Yes everyone seems to have photographed that aircraft and no others.

detail is everything
Windsock Datafile No. 16 on the type has a photo of 3258, which saw service with No. 3 Wing at Mudros. Also, the book 'Royal Naval Air Service 1912-1918' by Brad King and published by Hikoki publications has several RNAS photos from the Aegean theatre, including one showing four of the five Type Ls to serve there.
