Hi,

I wanted to share some pictures of the new set from Katran dedicated to the AMK F-14D.

The manufacturer released two sets: Open exhaust K4818, closed K4819

The parts are designed by CAD, an 3D printed on a high resolution machine.

The exhausts and their Afterburner ducts are provided.

You also get a vinyl mask sheet to help painting the feathers:

The carbon texture and the shrouds is even depicted.

The fit is quite good on the AMK pastic.

Comparing to the AMK part:

What do you think about it?

I already used their Mig31 exhaust on my AMK Foxhound:

I got my set from Katran directly: [email protected]

But some sets seem available on hannants, hobbyeasy and the48ers

The owner told me that he will release a variety of F-16 exhausts for kinetic kits as well.

Wow, these are beautiful exhaust parts! And you've made a FANTASTIC MiG-31!!

It turns out that I need/want aftermarket exhausts for my AMK F-14 and AMK MiG-31 also.  I looked on the 48er's item and saw that the MiG-31 exhausts by Katran come in 3 versions, a Type 1, a Type 2 and Varied.  I looked at the photos of the parts, and honestly had difficulty in seeing the differences between the 3 versions.  Usually, I see either and open of closed versions of exhaust nozzles.  Do you know what the difference between the 3 MiG-31 versions are?  Thanks for any help.

Hi Curt,

I remember there is minor differences on the outer ring base.

You may ask Edward at [email protected], he will tell you the best set depending on the machine you want to build.

bye

Thank you, sir!
