DennisTheBear
Just found a news story on a reel of colour film found in a QANTAS facility. Shows the Empire flying boats along with refuelling, infrastructure, and other interesting aspects in the late 1930s. Thought I'd post the link to the news story if it hasn't been done already. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-11-15/qantas-celebrates-centenary-with-bygone-era-flying-boat-film/12881604 DennisTheBear

bryanm
Brilliant - thanks! Interestingly the airframe colour seems to be a very dull silver-grey with a gloss finish. The lettering of 'Carpentaria' looks definitely to be black. There has been speculation that the Imperial boats had very dark blue lettering rather than black.
