I love those Yugoslavian western aircraft! history is such a strange thing so many what-ifs.... and possible turning points Thanks for the kind words mates. Yup, what if Yugoslavia have continued with western jets - would we be later using F-84F, F-100, F-102, F-104, F-5, F-16 and/or A-4, A-7? A plenty of what-if material for us scale modellers! Shorty84
Hi Srkirad, wow, your F-86D came out really lovely, great paint job. And the Yugoslav markings are the icing on the cake Hard to believe it's in 1/72. For example, Yugoslavia selected the Mirage III as their next fighter to replace the F-86, the contract almost signed. The deal only fell through when the French intercepted a weapons shipment to Algeria which could be traced back to Yugoslavia. So they got the MiG-21 instead. Other aircraft offered to Yugoslavia included the Hawker Hunter, the F-5E (including licence production) and the F-4 Phantom II. Plenty of what-if possibilities Cheers Markus Edited March 13, 2021 by Shorty84
