MAJOR PROBLEM AT UK PORTS OPERATING AT REDUCED CAPACITY AT THE BUSIEST TIME OF THE YEAR

Tiger Hobbies have been informed by our shipping agents that capacity at UK ports like Felixstowe and Southampton is much reduced some as low as 65%

Bottom line almost every container landing in the UK has been delayed getting to customers some times by weeks.

Example a load that should have got to Tiger Hobbies on the 26 October, this was delayed until the 2 Nov then 13 Nov now 16 Nov and this is not guaranteed.

the following load should have arrive 11 of November and is now delayed minimum 20 Nov.

The problem is also been compounded by reduce worldwide shipping capacity due to Covid 19 as many large ships are laid up without crew.

This as not yet reached the mainstream press only the trade press in Logistics and finance, but once big retailer don't get their Xmas stock in time it will be in the Sun.

This is the busiest time of the year for ports, as you can see from the thread about the large container ship some carrying 25,000 containers.

We have now got what is called container constipation, all our plastic kit containers are in the same boat, Oh the plans of Mice and Men.

So please do not hassle your retailer as they can do squat diddly about it.

We have also informed our trade customers about 2 weeks ago pointless trying to stick you head in the sand like some.
