Not sure if they'll get everything on the wish list, but evidently Israel is OK with the F-35 purchase. 802 AMRAAM's is a healthy

 amount.

800 is a lot... 1 Mio a piece, but that was A models back then, no?

but with 1 F-35 carrying up to 6... that would be 1 full load out for ~130 planes...

then there are ~ 100 F16E/Fs in service... also carrying 4-6 if fully loaded....

I guess they prepare for a major air war!

whom against though?

Iran does not have that much capability.....

who else is in the region and heavily armed

alphabetical order:

Egypt

India?

Israel

Quatar

Saudi Arabia

Turkey

USA?

just saying .. ome needs to be prepared

Over the last few years the UAE have been very active in several areas and their armed forces have been quite heavily involved. Syria, Yemen and also Lybia are theatres where they have seen and are seeing combat.

The Gulf countries in general are getting very active in the local crises (and in some not so local ones, like Lybia), we can expect more and more purchases like this in the next few years. And the enemy is not only Iran..
