Jb65rams
I have developed an interest in the aircraft operated by USAF Air Defense Command and Aerospace Defense Command over the time period 1946 -1980 favouring the later years. The plan is to build a representative model of a number of types operated during this period. I have already completed a Lockheed F-94 Starfire, for the Lockheed GB. I am being ambitious for this GB with three builds planned. The first is the Hasegawa’s 1/72 North American F-86D Sabre Dog. I am also planning a Meng F-102A and Meng F-106A, again both in 1/72.
Col.
Welcome to the GB JB. A worthy and interesting type and represented by a kit I've only recently become aware of so I'm keen to see how good it is.
Jb65rams
Between waiting for paint and decals to dry in my entries in the Heller & Hawk GBs, I made a start on the Cockpit. Etch was added from the Eduard set as I intend to finish it with the canopy open. I found that the parts need quite a bit of clean up to remove some fine flash.
Col.
Nice start. I'd no idea there was an etched set available for this kit.

Jb65rams
@Col. Thank. It is a nice kit, a bit of flash, but goes together well. She is out of the paint shop, used Humbrol Metalcote Polished Aluminium from a rattle can. Then picked out a few panels with some different shades by brush, using artistic licence! Just to break up the colour. It was then given a couple of coats of Klear in prep for decals.
