So heads down and onward. Flory on the bigger little bits. And knock back. tube things. Rocket pods. Fuel tanks. Ooh the exhaust cowls turned out nice. Rotor time. The base section. Main gear top. And bottom. 🥸 Flory turned out nice. 😍😍 Aaand constructed. 🤩 I’m glad I did it this way now. It would have been a struggle to paint other wise. Here’s a shot from the top with the hat on. 👨🌾 Let’s start getting this party started. weapons beginning to get stuck. Hey @CedB what’s this? 🤣 Sorry couldn’t resist. Again. 🤣 well pods on. And from the rear. Action shot! And here we are with the last littlest bits. PE and aerials. Primed. The nose gun got drilled (very small) and primed at last. As did the probe thing. And look. Lights. Or a monkey? 🤣🙉 the final masking of the tail rotor. Paint on the aerials and actuators. after a pre shade. ( I said I was motoring through 🏄♂️🏄🏄🏻♀️ ) Internal door panel. The mini gun dome. At last. Iddy biddy wipers. And yes. Chaff dispensers. I need to let the gloss dry before the final flory , the final construction and wires. woot! One more sitting will do it. 🤩😍 So I tidied up and flipped the mat. ( bit of a ritual ) I’d always planned on moving right back to my Hind A build. (Here) but I need a break from flying pianos for just a little while so with that I decided upon (this) please come and join me on a fun little build. 🦈 Right then. Almost done. The Spadgent Posted March 28, 2021 Author Share Posted March 28, 2021 Happy First day of summer. 🌞 After girding ones loins with a few choice catch ups on BM this morning. Thanks @AdrianMF and @CedB I set my sight on the end game. And by Jove I almost made it. 😇 The time had come for all the little bits to get stuck on. The tail support that is a right royal pain up the rear end to fit. Got fitted. about twenty minutes that took. 🤪 The nose gun eventually got popped on. This took only five of your earth minutes. 🤣 moves around and everything. 😍 The front UC door got glued with some blu tac to hold while it dried. Probably the most precarious position this kit has been in. Don’t slip. 😲 The tail rotor got its mat coat. Looks rather nice. Doors and front probes got added. Not to mention that BIG long think and a Thankyou. Chaff things. ( box of holes 🤣) And these little things that I very nearly missed. Aaand very nearly didn’t happen as Messier C Monster almost had it for lunch. (That was close ) All the PE aerials got glued on with blu tac holders. Weeeellll I say all. I noticed that I missed one flat t shaped one on the rear and that is now drying on a stick. That will make for a very quick last post. 😜 While I was pootling around I popped the main rotor on just to see if it fitted. It did. 🤩 More doors and actuators. I added the rear hatches then had a wobble when I couldn’t fit the exhaust cowls. Looking back to page one I eyed the picture @Nikolay Polyakov found for me and eeked the doors up a tad to fit the cowls. I love this too shot. Looks like one of those Krieger models. and here from a less Kubrick angle. I glued on the holding pins at jaunty angles before popping the rotors on again. I have to wait for the aerial to dry before I can flory and dull coat. I’ll pop that on and do some EZ line action for the final post later in the week. Thanks for popping in.
