Stunning stuff Johnny - loving those canopies especially :)

I think the 'rear thing' (fnaar!) might be chaff dispensers? But what do I know…

I think you’re right. 😀

Looking very special Johnny.

I am with  @CedB on those brass bits, they look like chaff/flare dispensers .

As for the chili Marmite, I have not tried it yet but when I find it I will.

Stay safe.

Simon.

Thanks. The marmite is only at Sainsbury’s. Alas we don’t venture out during LD and we get our deliveries from Tesco. Fingers crossed it’ll be sold elsewhere soon.

Wow! Highly impressive work going on here.

I too was going to suggest chaff dispensers. Either that or they're storage boxes for holes.

Ian

Thanks. 🤣

This is evident on many pictures, so you’re absolutely right. 👍

Yes, this is it.

I’m also has a busy week(s), so the progress on the «A» is very slow. Currently I’m working on the main rotor. Actually, it’s not so much parts left to complete an assembly.

Great work, Johnny! 👏 The rotor blades looks fantastic, bravo! 🥳

Thanks Nikolay. Almost done.

This is a stupendous build Johnny.  I think it's the best I have seen come off your bench.  Are you entering it in any sort of competition?  Gold medal, for sure...Best in show!

Wow far too kind. I don’t go for the competition thing. Just a hobby. 🙌

That tail rotor, apart from looking brilliant, which it does, closely resembles a trio of cut throat razors, a cunning rear defence mechanism, no doubt..........

"..........nothing's gonna get me from behind !.........."

A stunning, educational  and entertaining build, Johnny, I have a long list of hints and tips gleaned from your build which, I hope, I can use to enhance my modelling skills, so thanks for that !

Now, off to the Typhoon build.........

Happy First day of summer. 🌞

After girding ones loins with a few choice catch ups on BM this morning. Thanks @AdrianMF and @CedB I set my sight on the end game. And by Jove I almost made it. 😇

The time had come for all the little bits to get stuck on. The tail support that is a right royal pain up the rear end to fit. Got fitted. about twenty minutes that took. 🤪

51079598852_74cd3e7b1a_b.jpg

The nose gun eventually got popped on. This took only five of your earth minutes. 🤣

51079599497_f3abc76c88_b.jpg

moves around and everything. 😍

The front UC door got glued with some blu tac to hold while it dried.

51079598827_01c9c1c96b_b.jpg

Probably the most precarious position this kit has been in. Don’t slip. 😲

51079599682_b50b221601_b.jpg

The tail rotor got its mat coat. Looks rather nice.

51079502451_397112ae81_b.jpg

Doors and front probes got added.

51079599522_4bf6c396a0_b.jpg

Not to mention that BIG long think

and a Thankyou.

51079598572_c6c749d6c9_b.jpg

Chaff things.  ( box of holes 🤣)

51078807673_5480438e50_b.jpg

And these little things that I very nearly missed.

51078807623_cdae00b708_b.jpg

Aaand very nearly didn’t happen as Messier C Monster almost had it for lunch. (That was close )

51078806773_08e8b3c12e_b.jpg

All the PE aerials got glued on with blu tac holders. Weeeellll I say all. I noticed that I missed one flat t shaped one on the rear and that is now drying on a stick. That will make for a very quick last post. 😜

51079502626_3622d33208_b.jpg

While I was pootling around I popped the main rotor on just to see if it fitted. It did. 🤩

51010317735_54a580c2a7_b.jpg

More doors and actuators.

51010317630_b1d57a4d18_b.jpg

I added the rear hatches then had a wobble when I couldn’t fit the exhaust cowls.

51078806583_85a7acdc3f_b.jpg

Looking back to page one I eyed the picture @Nikolay Polyakov found for me and eeked the doors up a tad to fit the cowls. I love this too shot. Looks like one of those Krieger models.

51078806933_40a19b3632_b.jpg

and here from a less Kubrick angle.

51010317820_f0529dca8e_b.jpg

I glued on the holding pins at jaunty angles before popping the rotors on again.  I have to wait for the aerial to dry before I can flory and dull coat. I’ll pop that on and do some EZ line action for the final post later in the week.

Thanks for popping in. It’s been a hell of a journey this one. I’ll sight off proper when she’s totally done.

Hope you’re all having a great weekend. All the best.

Johnny
