I'm also really impressed with the rotors. I just ordered some lead wire 2 or 3 days ago because I finally figured out that's what folks were using on landing gears and things. Seeing how you used it on the rotors makes me glad I bought some! Thanks. Lead was a bit of a revelation to me after using lots of other wires. You’ll love it. The Spadgent
Hey guys. Hope you all had a lovely weekend. 😃 I had a little time to start up on the final steps of this here flying piano. 🤪 Mask time for the rotors. The other pre shaded parts got their taste of colour. Rear rotors got some blue. As god the fuel tanks. Aaand the gear head. I have gone a little off piste with the weapons. The call outs would have the pods silver but as I have seen various weapons in many colours on these thing I figured anything goes. So I’m taking some artistic license. so fuselage green for the pods. And I couldn’t help myself. Yellow for the rocket tubes. The rotors are actually green up top and black on the underside and I have seen this a lot so who am I to argue. I quite like it. More masks on the rear rotor for the lines. I was thinking of our very own @perdu while doing this. Dredging the thought of painting these free hand.🙀 With the masking off the pre painted lines and tips really popped out. 🥳🤩 And the rear. (Note my plastered thumb after terrible scalpel jabbing incident.) 😱 I still need to mask again for the red flashes. Mojo was indeed flowing and after the paint went down on the rest of the parts I top coated with gloss to get ready for Flory or decals. Here are the exhaust cowls. Very understated. 😇 And the rear. The rotors got similar gloss action after the wiring got painted. showing off the green like a true crocodile. 🐊💚 The underside was painted in (tyre rubber) to allow the pre shade to show through. 🖤 Tiny details were picked out with a hairy stick. And decals were added. Watch in awe at the amount of fuel tank decals that went on. Sometime I do t know how I cope. 🤣🤣 Loving these though. 🐝 Like mini fireworks. 💥 Deep down I’d been putting this off as my clear part nerves were not up to it but I had nowhere else to run sooooo. Blade in and creeeeeeeeeeeeee. Remember all that in there. 🌈😀 Thankfully it looked all to still be in one piece. Slowly one by one the masks came off and the clear parts rubbed clear with a cotton bud. I’ll run some Tamiya panel wash into the corners later on. But over all I’m in panic off mode. 😅 And on the other side. I need to weather those new bits and the final assemblies can go together. while I wait for things to dry I started the last aerials lights and probes pass. These PE fins were a right pain but worth it I think. Along with this rear thing that I’m still not sure what it is. Looks shiny though. 🤩 Right that’s your lot. It’s been a manic Monday with more promised tomorrow but fingers crossed I can get this wrapped up so I can settle back with the smaller Croc. Thanks for popping by. Take care y’all. Johnny 💚🐊

CedB
Stunning stuff Johnny - loving those canopies especially I think the 'rear thing' (fnaar!) might be chaff dispensers? But what do I know… 1

As for the chili Marmite, I have not tried it yet but when I find it I will. Stay safe. Simon. 1

Brandy
Wow! Highly impressive work going on here. I too was going to suggest chaff dispensers. Either that or they're storage boxes for holes. Ian

VT Red Sox Fan
Johnny, incredible work on the green/tyre black blades—you nailed the pre-shade with darker colors which I think is a challenge—as usual everything else is amazing—best, Erwin 1
