BeeKay
The rivet decal set is available from Arma models in the next couple of weeks and can be pre-ordered for 500 ru, around £5 😲, god knows what shipping would cost though. Cheers Your work is inspiring, Jonny 👍 Brian 3

I have the same kit on the bench and went with the Quinta cockpit details. I can't speak highly enough of them. Can't wait to see your next update, Cheers. Thanks. Glad you’re happy with the 3D decals. Shame you’re not doing a WIP it would be great to get some insight on how others build this. Hope you have a fun build. 😀 On 19/11/2020 at 10:11, roks said: Well,it question for me to, cause i didn`t that never before. The Spadgent
Hey you lot. Hope you’re having a lovely weekend. Not a lot done during the week as I’m back at work. But I have got a few bits and bobs done and I had a spot at the bench today. 🤩 I tidied up the fuselage? Halves and dooooood a dry fit because I couldn’t resist it. 🤣 Yay!! Looking gooood. 🥳 Realistically I had to start painting the gear compartment. So everything started to get masked. During this process I noticed this in the instructions. I needed to glue that bracket in place before I glued the sides on so luckily I managed to wiggle off the right hand panel and fit the nose turret spinner. Here it is fitted. It slows for the gun to swivel. 🤓 After that I glued it all back together again, masked and got on with painting. pre shade first. gears. Roof section. Engine housing. Wall section. The instructions will have you paint these grey but I have seen them blue so I’m running with that. It’s a grey/blue🤣 engine housing. Fire wall. Rear cabin. And roof. Excuse the explanation but I have seen a few people of late struggling with masking tape lifting paint. Specifically acrylics, so I thought I’d show my process. The side walls of that roof need masking so I de-tac the tape first in my big greasy palm at lest twice. Then mask with it. Then spray and peel off with no paint lift. Doddle. I rarely if ever get paint lifting doing this. 🤓👍 The gear case and other bits got painted a bright blue (called for by the instructions ) I havnt seen one this colour but I kind of like it so I’ll believe them. 🥳 All the parts got a gloss top coat ready for detailing tomorrow. 🧐 I was looking at what @James G had done on his wonderful 1/72 version and was looking how the doors opened in the two rear sections (air con and box thing behind the gear box) They don’t. 😫he scratched them👌. Thinking about it and as good as his looks I’m leaving mine as Zvezda intended. I’ll add detail and wires but I’m not opening up extra bits. I’ll hit the construction and scratch wires tomorrow. 🤩🤩🤩Oh and more news on the river front. After the talk of Arma rivet sheets @Nikolay Polyakov got in touch and said he happend to have a spare set of rivets and would I like him to send them. 🤩🤩🤩🥳🥳🥳🤩🤩🤩 Needless to say I accepted his very kind offer. 😍 I bloody love the folk on BM, So kind it warms my cockles I tells ya. 🥰 What an absolute star that man is. So as we speak some 1/48 rivets are winging there way to the West Midlands all the way from snowy Russia. Brilliant!! so this gives me time to work up the engine compartments. So a BIG Thankyou to Nickolay and thanks to you all for helping out with info for the build. More Tomorrow. Take care and as always. Happy modelling dear friends. Johnny.

Not bad it all, but not so authentic! 🤨 There’s an instruction sheet for the Eduard’s repack of Zvezda 1/72 kit with a good painting call-out: https://www.eduard.com/out/media/2116.pdf The painting refers to the Mr.HOBBY and Mr.COLOR paints - it can be useful. 😉 2
71chally
Great work, coming along nicely. I find this vid very good for the dirty bits colouration! Really nice result gaining the rivets (well done Nikolay!), and good news that Arma will sell these separately soon, that has to sound business sense aswel. 3

The Spadgent
Evening. Hope you all had a great weekend? I got some more of the interior detailed and painted. I added some detail to the anti freeze tank and various bits and bobs with spares box items and lead wire. Some pipe detail and decals added to the main floor and office section. All the parts got a Flory dark dirt wash. Then knocked back with a light sponge and cotton buds. Here’s the gear box. And the other side. (It’s the right blue now. 🤩) The rear wall got finished with extra pipes. This unit has loads of pipes. I’ll add a few as you can see it through the gap in the wall but I’m not opening up so not too many. The main engine bay. And the other side. Lots of pipes to add here though. I’ll pop them in as the assembly happens. 🥳 The main cargo area. I like the amount of ware. 🥰 That’s it . Loads more to do. 😍 loving it though. Thanks for stopping by Take care y’all. Johnny. 🤓
