Blade2009
I have been meaning to build this kit for sometime now but keep putting it off as not sure i can do it justice, but it think this GB is as good a reason as any to see what i can do with it. I will post some pic's in the next few days.
Col.
Now this is a cool subject choice and a great kit of it Could it be that an aircraft designed to hunt down the mighty SR-71 Blackbird is arguably the ultimate interceptor?

Blade2009
Here are a few photos of what i will be building haven't taken everything out of the bags yet but will do in the next few days to give all parts a wash. This is going to be a big model when it's finished not sure i have room in the display case, having looked at the instructions its asking for a least 30g of weight in the nose. helios16v
Mike did a nice build review of this kit here on the site. His experiences w/ the kit were a contributing factor to me picking one up.

Blade2009
Made a start on the Mig, not much done but removed some of the parts for the intakes, engines and landing gear bays and cleaned up where needed and dry fitted parts to check the fit. No problems so far. Jasonb13
I have the HobbyBoss version of this kit, and just seeing you start on this, and the size of it, is scaring me!

Blade2009
This is my stalled build from the Interceptors GB back in November 2020. As you can see from the pictures posted I didn't really get started on this build, Over the last few weeks I have managed to make a bit more progress with this build, this is a really nice kit and my intention is to try and get it finished this year so @Mike has kindly moved it over to the WIP thread for me so I can continue to chart my very slow progress here. This is where I have got to so far. Cockpit parts cleaned up and dry fitted Intakes, engines and landing gear bays primed, painted and clear coat applied ready for weathering. I have also started paint some of the landing gear parts just not photographed them yet.
Blade2009
A bit more progress with the Foxhound engines and intakes have been fitted into the lower fuselage and the upper fuselage and wings have been attached to the lower fuselage, wheels and one part of the exhausts have also been painted.
