Peter Roberts
Yep, that finish looks okay to my eyes, Worn white wash effect. A good palette there for some weathering. Crack on I reckon!
vytautas
About hairspray. Not all hairsprays are suitable. Some will thin the acrylic paint. Once I bought Taft hairspray himself, and it turned out that he washes off the paint. Test it before using ⚠️ Vytautas Edited December 13, 2020 by vytautas
AaronKSJ
Evening All I've left this one on the back burner for a bit and been faffing with other kits over the Christmas break. Here's how it stands at the moment. I've added some flicks and splats of oils and some Mig splash effects. I feel that it's still missing something, but can't figure out what. Maybe more darker mud effects around the track area? Or something to add a bit of dirt to the top of the tank? Suggestions welcome! Corsairfoxfouruncle
Well done Aaron, are you going for a relatively new tank in service or one thats seen some action ? If the new tank I think your all good maybe some fuel stains/spills or maintenance wear around the engine and hatches. If the latter and its seen some action, then its missing dents, dings, shell/bullet impacts. Edited January 5, 2021 by Corsairfoxfouruncle
Stef N.
Really good Aaron. The faded whitewash turned out great.👍 Suggestions? Maybe a bit more muck on the base of the hull but nothing too drastic necessary imo.
AaronKSJ
@Stef N. @Corsairfoxfouruncle Sorry gents, completely forgot to reply! I ended up leaving it as is for the end of the GB build. I've since got my hands on some fake mud products which I'll add to the Panther at some point as a test for using them on my Stug build.
