Hasegawa 1/72 Sea Harrier Frs.1

Former Queen of my Shelf of Shame..

Accidentally found it when cleaning the storage room seceral days ago.

This kit was enjoyable build but bite me in the *ss all the way untill I (finally) finish it.

Certainly not my best, but I'm glad she's off to the display cabinet.. Definitely not my last Harrier though

Here's the FROGspawn ModelHobby 1/72 Whitley. I was going to throw this barely-started kit away when I got my new Airfix one, but then I thought I'd just throw it together as a Saturday special. Then I thought I'd fix a couple of things, then I remembered the Falcon canopy set... Four weeks later, it is finally finished. WIP is here.

This is my Morane Saulnier 406 from FROG in /72. It should have gone into the gallery a while back... No comment.

Here is the WIP for those interested:

Fun build of a 1963, rather simple kit. Totally OOB, bar the decals that may have been usable but were so wrong that no salvage was possible. Plus I had to draw on blank decal the oil cooler intake grid that is rather characteristic of the 406 front.

The angle of the wheels has been left as FROG intended it to be, although it is rather exaggerate.

My apologies, as I knocked the spinner off on the model and I just pushed it back in by hand for the photos. I did not notice that it had moved again before the frontal shot.... It has been glued back in place since.

I could not resist using the FROG stand supplied!!!! That took me way back in time.

Thanks for watching.

JR

OK a quick finish (didn't need much):

1/76 Revell (Matchbox) Panzer II.

Nice little kit, comes with the diorama and 2 figures.

Originally started in the Kit You Built as a Kid GB, but languished for a while.

Resurrection thread (well single post) here.

Straight OOB build.

Yugoslav Airlines (JAT), ROMBAC 1-11

This was a reject 1/200 scale diecast model which, when new, had a severe case of acne all over its fuselage.  I got it for free :).

Having stripped and sanded the model, I've refinished it as a JAT aircraft, using a cobbled together assortment of aftermarket and homemade decals.  Along the way, I've had to accept some comprises most notably with the cabin windows (which are actually DC-9).

Hasegawa 1/48 Phantom FG1 XV574.  Eduard cockpit and seat etch, Xtradecal decals for the special scheme (stencils stolen off the ADV part off the Revell sheet as the Hasegawa decals were toast) and mainly Gunze paints.

This kit has been in the stash for longer than I can actually remember so despite a number of false starts it's great to get this one finally finished........ except.......

Tonight while setting up ready to take some photos really for this gallery, our kitten decided the Firefly would look much nicer on the floor, the result of which is both drop tanks broken off along with one of the bombs, undercarriage lots of pieces and a broken prop ! :weep:

So I have posted the before apocalypse photos below, I hope you like them.

cheers Pat
