I`m presuming that an RAF boxing will also follow in due course? Gret to hear that it will be available in 1/72nd scale at a later date too, Cheers Tony I’m sure it will be cheaper than the Oz Mods conversion kit and AZ Models photo etch I forked out on some years back 😂 Mike

It'll cost what it costs, adding 'enhancements' to a standard kit from the Big Boys can easily see a final cost of £100+ from even a modest kit - it's all relative. The USAAF in the UK used them too so another boxing or chance for a decal producer there. We've just finished calculating the cost. The recommended retail price is 44 euros. 4

Pity that in most countries price will be above that, and then there's shipping to add. That will probably put the final price over 55€. I hope it will be less when it arrives to EU shops. I'm really looking forward to this kit.

That's pretty reasonable for a large aircraft, well detailed and etch included. I'd shudder to think what the only 1/48 alternative would cost brought to the same level. No I'll not think about it at all actually. With the Hurricane finally being addressed properly (it seems) in 1/48 by Arma it's looking like a good year so far. I can't wait to see what you announce next and Thank You for this in the meantime.

Nit-picking mode but rotating the image to level the horizon gives a very different perspective. The wings make this plane IMHO as they are so unusual in plan too. I'm really looking forward to getting one in 48th. A lot of USAAF modellers will be interested too.
Silver Seraph
Quite a splendid box art and I actually prefer it with the angled horizon, I think it adds drama ! Dora Wings kits are IMHO the most exciting recent new tools in the very high quality short run division, ex-aequo with Modelsvit. Give me Tamiya usual superlative stuff, ok 😊. Give me Dora Wings stuff, now we are talking 🤪🤩 ! Cannot wait to get this one, along with the AT-9 Jeep !

Ray_W
Always liked this aircraft since I built the 1/72 FROG version as a kid, and now a Dora one in my chosen scale. So many great kits being released and my stash management principle these days is LIFO (Last In First Out) or BIBI (Buy It Build It). My stash has no chance of being reduced at least trying to manage growth. I'll be ordering/pre-ordering as soon as it hits. Ray

Maginot
What a fantastic looking model. Got one on pre-order, so bring it on when she's good and ready. I hope to render either A27-49 or A27-92 RAAF as a tribute to their crews. I've seen the remains of three A-31s: two at a crash site in rugged bushland at Mt Disappointment north-east of Melbourne Victoria, and one lying on the muddy bottom of Port Phillip in the approaches to the Port of Melbourne. Engaged in ferry flights in 1944, A27-49 and A27-92 flew into terrain in low cloud. All five crew members were killed. RIP. I've not read any reports to this effect, but I suspect the site was adversely affected by the devastating 2009 Black Saturday bushfires that raged through this locale. In 1946, A27-505 was on a target towing sortie when it suffered an engine failure and was forced to ditch inshore near Fort Gellibrand at Williamstown. The two crew survived. For a bit of fun, you can celebrate the release of this model by grabbing your partner and boot scootin to Dive Bomb Boogie by Larry Dean and his Virginia Playboys: www.youtube.com/watch?v=O85Hor2c9XE

keithjs
Great stuff! They certainly seem to have nailed the distinctive 'sit' of the aircraft. Far superior to the AZ kit. Christmas has come early.

Dave Spencer
The built version at Telford looked very nice. My only concern is if you don`t want the airbrakes deployed, you are faced with getting the etched parts to fit in to the recessed plastic.
