Bullbasket
I know that I said that I would put this one on a base, but I have run out of display space in my cabinets, so this one has got to go into a box until I have more space. So, this is one that I built a few months ago. It’s based on Hobbyboss’ M4A1 (76mm), and M4A3E8 (Korean version). This build log can be found here; Thanks to all those who took the time to comment in the WIP, and thanks for looking. John. 33

PlaStix
Hi John. I hope you and yours are all keeping well. Your Sherman really did turn out beautifully! As always, your attention to the details and superb finish take your projects to the next level! Very impressive modelling again! Kind regards, Stix

A lot of IDF tanks carried a ring of the stuff, wrapped in a canvas bag, but barbed wire being what it is, the canvas often got shredded, which is what I have tried to depict with tissue paper John..

Yes we are fine, thank you, and I hope that you and yours are the same. Just entering our second total lockdown, and I have to say that it's becoming just a little bit tedious now. Roll on next summer/autumn or whenever some kind of normality returns. Thanks for your kind comments, they're appreciated. John.

StuartH
Beautiful model John. How you maintain that level of neatness and crispness in this scale is incredibly impressive. All those little details such as the lenses, machine gun cover and casting number are brilliant individually but when combined just give the model that certain sparkle. I like how the painting and weathering has still allowed the quality of the build to shine. Nice one 👏
Ernst
Great model packed with details. What can I say, I hope you can find a nice display for your growing collection because it deserves one, Cheers, Ernst.

Nenad Ilijic
Great work John. Amazing details, especially for 1/48 scale. I also like this semi-gloss finish very much. It's like a real thing. Best, Nenad

On the whole, they are not bad. Some are best avoided (their M4 early version has loads of errors), but most have problems that can be easily corrected. The HVVS for instance, is 1.5mm too high, but is easily rectified. John.

I must say that this scale gives me a break from the bigger models, but it's still a challenge to try and get as much detail into the build. Some day, I'll get around to finishing the scratch built Grant and the semi scratch built M51 that I have, both about 50% built. John.

Yes, it's easily done. In fact, in the Hobbyboss M4A1 (76mm), they include decals for an IDF M1 Sherman. John.
