To my eye, the front shape of the fuselage and the Foxhunter nose correction have two different curvatures that looks quite bad when joined together like this. This id off course what you get when you do a minimum change to a design to adapt it to a different purpose. of course we are still talking Tornado here ..... compared to your Mirage IIIC, or any Mirage (to some extent also the Rafale) it will always be a brick... but to the IDS/ GR stubby nose version it is rathre very sleek! exdraken
anybody has an idea why this sprue is included at all? the only part marked is for blocking the cannon through... first there is only one, and second there should be one! apart from this discovery, I started to paint the wingsweep area
Col.
That does seem a waste of plastic for one tiny part Nice progress again though
At Sea
It's a common sprue with the GR4 kit. See the GPS antenna on the spine. I have kept mine & will use it in conjunction with a Eduard GR.4 cockpit set to turn one of my IDS kits into an GR.4 on the cheap.

Edit: add Sidewinder production line

Jabba
Looks good with the paint on. If I recall correctly the 2nd gun port is on sprue P and is there on the IDS versions of the kit.
Tim Moff
Cool - was this an actual Eduard kit or a rebox of another?

It is the Revell F.3 kit with the Eduard treatment of great decals (which I will use only the stencils here) PE and Resin seats and wheels, and masks the instructions are also much clearer/ less condensed than the Revell IDS version. definitely a recommended boxing (that was not expensive at all when it came out!) 2 hours ago, Jabba said: If I recall correctly the 2nd gun port is on sprue P and is there on the IDS versions of the kit. yeah.. but this is not present on the F.3 fuselage .... cheers, and thanks for your comments!

This part has some very minor difference in panel lines compared to the one used in the GR4 model. Im not sude which boxings use which rear deck but Revell have made the part for some reason. Great paint scheme and I love the (Maltese?) cross. It really does brighten up the grey. Colin
