Eduard 1/72 Grumman Hellcat II

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all,

Fresh off the bench is build number 21 for the year, and I returned to an old favourite in the Eduard Hellcat II. Finished completely OOB in the colours of 1844 Sqn FAA using Hataka Orange Line as usual.

Thanks for sharing your build with us, it is a cracking finish you have achieved.  Might have to buy one of these kits.

cheers

Great build and great finish.  Great addition to the cabinet..

This Aircraft was flown by SLt WH Foster of 1844 NAS HMS Indomitable, who was born in Dawlish, to Destroy a Ki64 ‘Tony’ and a Ki43 ‘Oscar’ 12.04.45..

That's very interesting, I live in Devon so it's nice to have built a model with a local-ish connection, albeit accidentally!

Absolutely stunning!!! Well done!!! I love the scale effect you've achieved, what kind of paint is that?

Thanks, I used Hataka Orange Line Lacquers

Cheers,

Shaun
