Thanks you for sharing those Sven. That was my last trip to Red Flag with the 27th FW. When I got back to Cannon I was asked if I wanted to be part of the 428th FS build up to convert the FB-111's to F-111G. I retired out of Cannon AFB in 1993 from the 523rd FS. Oddly enough my 1st wing and fighter squadron was the 405th TFW 523rd TFS Clark AFB

Agreed in both respects although I've never understood how or why the F-111 fleet avoided the Europe 1 and Hill Gray scemes that most of their contempories wore.
