redcap
Given the Tamiya kit is about 25 years old now (TBH it still 'looks' like a MIG15 to me) this is hardly a quantum leap is it...this is disappointing after the announcement a couple of weeks ago. I shall continue to hold out against hope that Tamiya or even Academy using correct data and measurements do this iconic machine in 1/32 someday. Mike Esposito
I'm frankly tired of waiting for eduard to do the right thing and up scale the 1/72 Mig 15. Its ridiculous. 😡 I'll buy the Bronco bis kit. I'm settling here.🤨 Edited November 11, 2020 by Mike Esposito
Tiger331
On 11/10/2020 at 6:59 PM, Matthew1974 said: The mistake with the wing root is not something that would particularly bother me about a kit, but I appreciate the opinions of others on the subject. It is nice to see Bronco using relatively recent PRC history to promote modeling and thus hopefully draw new folks into the hobby. I spent many years in both the Republic of Korea and Japan over a 25 year period and as the middle class grew, so too did the interest in our hobby. Given the PRC’s immense population and ever growing middle class one can hope that our hobby will grow accordingly! Wholeheartedly agree !. Life's too short to allow a few armchair 'experts' (who have yet to actually see the kit in the flesh) sway me on any decision to buy this kit. It looks nicer than the Tamiya or Trumpeter renditions and eliminates the issues with the split fuselage concept, for those of us who just want to make a nice looking MiG-15 without too much fuss. I have no doubt that Eduard will finally come along and issue a superior 1:48 scale kit along the lines of their lovely little 1:72 scale but when will that be ?. I'll live with the minor inaccuracies (IMHO) and go ahead and buy one of these meantime.

Harold55
This seems like a reasonable price point so I think I will have to order up the slow boat from China.

The box has all you need: Good price, great decals, masks.... I wish Hobby 2000 lots of succes with this approach! The plastic parts also look great and should eliminate all the issues the Trumpeter kit has... Hope to build her soon!
ABeck
Sorry, neither MiG-15 nor Bronco but Hobby 2000: I bought both 1/48 Hasegawa Ar 234 rereleases and was deeply impressed with the quality of the plastic. Very careful injection with the right pressure and temperature, clean register of the core and cavity mold halves and perfect surface of parts. Still on the sprues the kit looks like a new made Tamiya kit.

Lusitanian
Has anyone details of this model? Someone on a Facebook group claims that the Bronco Models MiG-15 is “highly inaccurate in many major ways”. I am not well familiar with the MiG-15 to make a judgement. Best wishes!
