And the true object as on display in the Museum. A detail of importance it's not a MiG-15bis (as proposed by the kit) but rather a early MiG-15 with RD-45 engine, small tail, small airbrakes . . .

I hope it is a new tool!

But for some reason, I think it

not! I hope I'm wrong...

Yes the way the plastic is right there but they have kept it covered up just makes me think it's someone else's plastic and they are just trying to create a buzz around it before they show the plastic, but hopefully I'm wrong as well.

There is rumor by Chinese modeler that this kit seems like the scale up version of the Eduard 1/72 kit, from the sprues showed online.

Quote

The kit is only being sold at The Military Museum of The Chinese People’s Revolution currently, as a collaboration products with the museum, but there is rumor that Bronco version will also be sold later as the normal edition.

Cannot find sprue pics(saw them somewhere but cannot remember) currently but quite sure they will be exposed online very soon.

This kit seems to be currently only proposed for sale in the framework of the new exhibition from The Military Museum of The Chinese People’s Revolution, opened on October 19th, 2020 and commemorating "the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People’s Volunteers’ mission to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea".

Because they were too slow and someones beat them to it, a lot of people had been asking for it.

Wonder if they give Eduard a cut if it's a direct copy, oh hang on it's China 😉 silly me

in a different scale, 50% bigger  it will hardly be a direct copy I hope! :D

lets wait and see.. there is the Trumpeter kit to beat first that actually only has a bad fin angle...!

IMHO it's the Trumpeter kit with a few upgrades like the previous Bronco J-10S "Vigorous Dragon".

Sorry davmarx but you're wrong there's definitely no connection between the 1/48th Bronco Models and Trumpeter J-10S kits.

Have a close look at the sprues:

A first picture from what looks like the model on display nearby the pile of boxes for sale at The Military Museum of The Chinese People’s Revolution shop.

Local price: 114 CNY or about 13.00 GBP.

Seen in ARC forum but without source nor credit.

It's my opinion, possibly wrong, but if I remove all the location pins the two "different" kits fits perfectly together... I know there are some differences like the layout on the sprues, panel lines, opened airbrakers and so on, a sign of a complete retooling of the kit, but the original 3D drawings are the same.

I bet that the MiG-15 has followed the same way, new tooled moulds but based on previous 3D.

My apologise if I am wrong.

P.S. Please, forgive my bad English...
