Popular Post Snitok1983
Glad to welcome everyone again! This time I present you the Soviet silver arrow - The Yak-28P from 1 squadron 174 Guard fighter regement (Pechenga's two times Red Banner order named of two times hero of the Soviet Uniun Boris Safonov), Monchegorsk airfield, mid-70s, from the airfield, in the garrison of which I had the happiness to growing up and spending the best years of my childhood as the son of the military aviator. The model is out of the box, painted with AKAN and Revell, tinted with pigments and oil. By the way, this model is a gold medalist (in its nomination) at an exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in Kaliningrad https://vk.com/topic-172223917_44340990 75

Especially like the tones of natural metal...very realistic 👍👍
SAT69
The quality of your model is such that it's easy to see why it would win a gold medal. Exceptional work you've done.
Baldy
Beautifully built and finished! I like the realistic dull natural metal effect you have achieved. Congratulations on your Gold Medal! Cheers Malcolm

Shorty84
Hi, I guess this is the Hobby Boss kit in 1/48? Anyway, a beautiful rendition of a brutal aircraft and a well deserved award winner. The Yak-28P really represents the Soviet design school at its best: Big airframe, big radar and big missiles. In short, it looks dangerous just sitting on the ground Cheers Markus
FAAFAN
Outstanding. Thank you for sharing! I grew up as the child of an American Naval officer. I get the same excitement from modelling the ships and aircraft I grew up seeing!

Sky Keg
Wow I like the way you have applied and completed the always difficult natural metal finish. I`m envious of your skills as a supreme and gifted artist. Mike
Bell209
One of the world's ugliest aircraft but you've done a great job on her!

Vultures1
Superb work! The metal finish in particular is outstanding - well done Unlike @Bell209 I've always liked the look of the Yak-28 family - like something out of a 50s sci fi movie, but each to their own I guess
alxzinbox
LOVE IT! Such a welcome break from the staple of subjects we normally build. The paint job is perfectly executed with just the right amount of weathering. It seems like such a raw almost untamed beast of power.
Gary Brantley
Most impressive! Man, you've nailed that NMF finish and obviously built this cool machine as a true "labor of love"! Well done Snitok!
