I do occasionally see some of these units come up second-hand on the internet and any advice or insight that I can get from expert modelling users is very valuable. I’ve heard Unimats are very good but rare now. I think Proxon is looking most likely. Thanks and once again congratulations on that superb model! If you go for Proxxon, just look at the PD250 or the PD400. The PD150 is of much less use.

PROPELLER
Kind words, always, thank you very much gentlemen! On 08/11/2020 at 14:11, Sabrejet said: Matra then Sorry, no. Next will be not a scratch built project. Motivation is partially gone, I need some easier work! It will be of course a french vehicle, but not a car! Wait and see... GT40 doors, more, openable, with a lock of course! Be watchful... Hopefully, a mistake inside... It's perfect for mechanism's lock! How to? All is under control... Stickframe
I'd say I'm speechless, but that wouldn't be saying too much would it? Instead, remarkable work as always. The working door mechanism is fantastic! Cheers Nick
PROPELLER
Thank you very much Nick... Doors again. Of course the perfect world don't exist! But, ten minutes (!) later, it works: Then, rear bonnet. And it will not be a small thing! You saw already the rough piece: Firstly, this bonnet will openable with a hinge on the rear subframe, as the original. Front bonnet don't have hinge... A grat moment... Now of course inside! Candys? No, air ducts... Cooling air ducts engine, a sanding nightmare: Dan.

Codger
Dan, I'm not being silly when I say, I wish you could have kitted this. More than any Pocher or part work that exists now, I would buy that kit. Needing only an exact 289 Ford engine (which would yield the correct deck height), this is miles more accurate than any GT-40 in any scale. Probably including the highly praised CMC effort of years ago. And yes I know the impossibility of a manufacturer getting this level of perfection, and the cost of a 1/8 project such as this. You are truly owning a one of one masterpiece in the world. That must feel good.

PROPELLER
In front lot of of these sort of kind comments, what could I can say? Thank you very, very much of course, how more strong? All of you know my English, I'm speechless too... But very proud! On 15/11/2020 at 01:08, Codger said: (which would yield the correct deck height) I'm sorry Mr C., but I don't understand! Rear bonnet, more things for complete it ... I must admit I was happy with it! In situ, with the engine: But a long way to reach that: It's time to think about to parts under it... PROPELLER
Don't worry Mr C! I imagine that all of you have understood my philosophy. I'm not a "taliban" for the size of the second nut between the third and the fourth... We have to stay humble, all scales don't really show the exact reality. Of course we have to try to approach with good compromise to reality. But it's a compromise and will be rest a compromise. Every time your work must give you pleasure and as well pleasure for others! Eyes for me are the final judge... Dan.
Ghost69
Good evening Dan, I am impressed by the finesse of the pieces you make in polyester. Can you tell me more about your air ducts. I have the impression that you only have one layer of glass cloth. The thickness seems very thin, what is its weight (in French g/m2)? Thanks Manu
