HartDeco
Hi all. The Trumpeter 1/48 Wyvern kit is probably my new favorite kit I've built. The fit and details are excellent and the aircraft is just so cool to look at. Several aftermarket sets were used like a resin cockpit, wheelx, wingfold mechanism and control surfaces. To be fair, all these goodies aren't really neccesary but I just liked to add the extra details. Mr Hobby acrylics were airbrushed over Alclad black primer. Weathering was done by making a wash from Abteilung 502 oilpaint and white spirit. The chipping was brush painted with dark metal paint. I know the weathering and chipping is a bit over the top, compared to the real aircraft but after seeing the plain paintjob on them I decided to make it a bit more interesting to look at. Thank you for watching, René Edited October 24, 2020 by HartDeco 56

jean
Hi, a stunning build! Congrats! Are the rivets part of the kit, or did you go feral with a riveting wheel? I am not a rivet man, but in this instance it is rather catching. Super well done. JR

Britman
Very nice , it looks like it's ready for heavy maintenance although the prop assembly looks new. Tail wheel doors? Keith
