Black Knight
Have you looked at micro-hinges for doll's houses?
Bandsaw Steve
Sorry- I generally don’t make moving parts on models and can offer little specific advice. My only comment is that there is a difference between ‘operable’ and ‘repositionable’ If repositionable -say, either full open or fully closed - than I would start by looking at small high-strength magnets like wargamers use to put weapons in their figures hands. Position them to allow them to grip the hood in either position. just a thought... 🤷
s.e.charles
thanks; 'repositionable' then it is! i've used tiny rare earth magnets, so maybe i can come up with a way to hold the hood in an either/ or location. perfect example of being trapped by my own thinking.

s.e.charles
i like the smaller "J" hinges for the Revell Anglia & Thames van i am in the process of turning back to street vehicles. the factory plastic hinges are (understandably) quite bulky; thanks for the link & suggestion.
