The Build log is here https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235070426-1350-hms-kent-county-class-cruiser-1941/

Thanks are due to Richard Dennis @dickrd and Jamie Duff @Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies for their considerable input into the Colour scheme, which differs substantially from previous interpretations.

I've made extensive use of 3 D printed items from https://micromaster.co.nz/ which IMHO have set new standards in small scale detailed realism

Outstanding, the weathering looks spot on, just enough, love the additional details you added,

She's a handsome ship for sure, cruiser meets cruise liner with the triple funnel,

Looking forward to seeing HMS Berwick

Thank you (and for Jamie!) for very comprehensive research and building-relation. I have this kit in my stash so you will be my Cicerones;).

Beautifull model, deeply detailed and well balanced in terms of painting, weathering and so on. I waited for every following part of your fascinating series and now I am waiting for your next building blog (but - don't you need take a rest;)?).

Once more many thanks and best regards,

Michal.

Love it Rob. Do you mind if I share your pictures again on the old Facebook page?

Jamie - I'd be flattered.  Do you want to lift from the Fickr pages or shall I send onto you direct?

Outstanding modelmaking, as I think I said before, beautifully balanced weathering, appears a hell of a lot bigger than it really is, it really looks like it belongs in a museum !

Cheers

Great work Rob, she's a beauty. I've always admired your ability to work neat and clean and still end up with a result that looks completely natural and this one certainly fits that description.

Fantastic Rob, truly a thing of beauty. The lines of the Counties are quite superb, something even all that camo cannot disguise. I think the beauty of your details overcomes even that. :)

Absolutely fantastic result there Rob, a real stunner! Your work is so neat and tidy, with such meticulous detail, yet the end result looks so very realistic with your subtle approach to weathering. A real inspiration.

Well done!

Terry

PS looking forward to Berwick.

This is a stunning model, the intricate detailing and the finishing is museum quality.  I have always had a soft spot for the Counties class and this looks just right.

As I commented over on WIP, absolutely stunning work.  The additional photos here simply serve to show how outstanding this model is.  As others have said, deserves to be in a museum.  BZ.

Looking forward to seeing BERWICK finished.
