Vels
I started OKB Grigorov's Su-102 in 72 scale. First built the DShK from the kit. It was over 20 resin and photoetched parts. I suppose this is the finest and most accurate DShK on the planet in 72 scale

EpicPlastic
This is really tiny => how on earth did you manage to bend and attach those photo etch parts in this small scale? I'm having trouble enough when dealing with PE in 1/35!
Vels
To be honest, it wasn't easy, EpicPlastic. I used pliers for photoetch and tweezers. I used also a bender, but for two parts only, as they are really tiny. Edited October 21, 2020 by Vels
Vels
Some mudguards which will be totally hidden behind the wheels, but I like the detail it adds.

vytautas
Once I saw a photo of a wooden violin (with strings, f-holes, pegs and e.t.) in a case, who was made from a poppy seed. For me, works on this scale are like this violin. I look and know I can never do things like this. Very impressive 👍 Vytautas 1
flashlight
This looks great! To bend and attach all the PE must have been a pain, but they add a lot to the model. Very good job! Stay safe

Just a guess but i think that the kit would have been purchased in a country that does not allow depiction of the swastika...... Germany for instance doesn't allow you to depict the swastika on kits so if you want them in those countries that have banned them you have to buy them as extras from another country Much like cigarette adverts on race cars and motorcycle kits ...in the UK we are not allowed to advertise tobacco so if you buy a kit of a Marlboro Mclaren you would need to order the decals with the Marlboro logo from the US.

As you can guess it is a what if camouflage, SU-102 has never been captured, however I find the Russian green a little bit boring for this beauty and decided to make it more colorful. I even made up a story from which one can conclude why there is an inverted Kriegsmarine flag without swastika on the front armor and a sign Bucharest next to the mantle. The vehicle is finished and I'll put more pictures in Ready for inspection section. Here is the story: Just 4 days after the death of Hitler a provocation event happened on the Elbe river line. Drunk Soviet soldiers tried to rape a German girl, but encountered American soldiers who defended the girl (maybe they wanted the girl for themselves). In the exchanged firefight two American soldiers were killed and one Soviet junior Lieutenant was wounded. The American captain, who was the commandant of the opposite village in the American occupied territory did want to give a small lesson to the Soviet comrades and ordered an attack of the village, where this event happened. Marshal Zhukov, after counselling with Stavka and Stalin got to conclusion that this was the prelude of the major American attack, which so many intelligence sources were telling about and ordered a full all front preemptive counterattack. The President of Germany Karl Dönitz took the American side and three months later German elite troops captured Bucharest, where they got this new piece of Soviet armor SU-102. Of course, according to the orders of Flensburg government the new flag of the German republic was also painted at the front of the tank. The crew commemorated the Bucharest victory with a sign painted next to the gun mantle. Edited November 22, 2020 by Vels
