Back in Black, B.P. Defiant. Airfix 1/72.

Looking good!

Airfix decals can be moved. Use a flat tipped paintbrush and gently pick at the corners. Eventually it will lift and you can add water underneath which will help it slide. I've done it many times when decals refuse to reposition easily.

I did try to move it Ian but it started to tear so I just left before I did any more damage, but I will keep that tip in the locker for further use should the need arise.

Thanks @jackroadkill, @Brandy, @giemme , @bbudde and @corsaircorp.

Right, typical of kits. The probe broke while removing it from the runner, fortuitously I had some 0.5 mm brass tube to hand.

Thanks @bigbadbadge and @giemme.

Clear parts unmasked, not bad but could do better next time (but it saved the headache of cutting them)

And the underside.

BTW @giemme the varnish was Tamiya`s Flat clear. XF 86.

I am leaving that lot to dry and hopefully complete this today, fingers crossed.

Not bad at all, and you can always do small touch ups by brush and correct the overpaint with a toothpick. I often do that, and since it implies inevitable micro-scratches to the areas that are supposed to remain transparent, I complete the job by brushing on a wet coat of Aqua Gloss; if fills the scratches and bring the clear part back to shine. HTH

Thank you for the advice there @giemme, taken on board for the next build, I just wanted this one out of the way so I can concentrate on my next project.

Anyhow, clear bits added.

I am calling this done now, the aerials went AWOL so when it`s in the cabinet it won`t show.

Coffee then RFI.
