bigbadbadge
Crikey this has come on leaps and bounds. What was the issue you mentioned in your second to last post, I don't know anything of the type or kit and was not sure what was wrong. Great work Chris

Great work Chris When I glued the cockpit etc into the fuselage I must of put it in to low by about .5 mm. This meant that the floor was touching the wheel bay and not allowing a flush (ish) join. Also the gap behind the turret must be Airfix`s design as everything fitted well at that area. I am hoping to get this kit built quickly so that I can finish off the two other builds that have stalled. Take care. Simon.

The" Musikkasette" (Mc) accompanied me through my teenager years very well then. Sadly this was omitted on the CD later. Spookytooth
Thanks @bigbadbadge, @2996 Victor, @Gondor44, @bbudde and @giemme. Oh Feck!!!!. Late Sunday night I decided to fit the oil cooler and air intake. The oil cooler fitted lovely, no problems , but the air intake!!!!!! Something amiss here.... All is lined up etc so will now decide what to do next. Coffee, that`s the answer LOL. All comments welcome. Simon.
Spookytooth
Well, it had to go, so trusty No`9 blade and removed the little bit. You can see it by the point of the cocktail stick. I then glued it back on in an more aligned way so to speak. I am going to leave that to set for a while before venturing on with this build. All comments welcome. Spookytooth
Cheers @Dr. Quack, @2996 Victor, and hi @corsaircorp. While leaving the air intake bit to set I attached the wing lights, and what a delight, they just press fitted into place, no glue. I had painted the back of the lights Mr Hobby 8 Silver. All this leaves to do now is mask up various bits ready for priming . All comments welcome. Simon.

AndyL
Nice to see the progress on the Defiant. Just in case you might not have seen this, here's the real thing. And here's a few items from the above..
Spookytooth
Thanks @corsaircorp, @2996 Victor, @Dr. Quack, @giemme and @AndyL. Cheers AndyL for the pic, it confirmed the air intake shape quite well. I will see what remedial work needs doing after priming (When I can) Anyhow masked up. A mix of tape , Blu Tac and card. This was even easier the bay doors for the wheels up version. That`s all for now. All comments welcome. Simon.

The Spadgent
Wowza!!! This slipped under the radar. I have the 1/48 PB D. She’s lovely. Judging by the speed you’re having some fun here. Glad you fixed the old back to front. 🤗 I’ll tag along if I may. Great work Simon. 🙌 Johnny.

You are always welcome Johnny, I did think about the 1/48 version, having seen a build on You Tube. Simon. 1
Spookytooth
Thanks @giemme, @2996 Victor, @corsaircorp, @The Spadgent and @bbudde. Well welcome folks, a little bit more done this afternoon. Priming. Remedial work I spot. Not too bad but the join around the front of the wing and the fuselage needs attention . You all have a great weekend. All comments welcome. Simon.

Spookytooth
Thanks @VT Red Sox Fan, @bbudde, @giemme, @corsaircorp, @2996 Victor, @Dr. Quack and @bigbadbadge. Well. it is the good lady Rose`s birthday today so very limited time on the bench for obvious reasons. But I did run some gloop down the join lines just to shut them up. Don`t panic, I had run som Mr Surfacer 500 along the same joins to hide them. Will allow this to dry overnight before sanding and rescribing later. All comments welcome.
