Brad
Just compiling a list of aircraft with snake based artwork as a bit of a theme and wondering if anyone can add to the list. Thus far I have; Ju 87 Stuka Fw 190A A-10 AH-1 Cobra Pfalz DIII Junkers 52 Messerschmitt 209 F4U4 Corsair
Giorgio N
Are you interested in snake themed nose arts or only in snakes used as part of unit markings ? If you're into nose arts then a very well known one is P-40K "Hydes Harlot" of 78th FS/ 18th FG. More recently snakes have appeated as nose arts on a number of USAF aircraft like the B-1 and KC-135, All these are quite small though If you only want snakes as unit markings and want them well visible, then VA-86 A-7s carried a rattlesnake artwork on their tails until the advent of the low-vis era.
Giorgio N
Forgot to mention... if you want a very unusual one-off scheme, check the "venom" F-16 specially painted as part of the ACC F-16 demonstration team at Shaw AFB
Brad
Those are good ones, just interested in the snake being quite visible.
Romeo Alpha Yankee
What about just the head Brad? Closer to home a RAAF 3SQN Hornet wore a cobra head for a short time.
Pinback
Hi Brad Thinking of VFA 102 "Diamondbacks" F18 Hornet. Check out the fine example in Ready for Inspection by @Jurek Greinert Also the USN Bicentennial S3A Viking (on the tail but not so visible) Pinback

Still do on the Hornets. https://www.cloud9photography.us/US-Squadrons-USN/US-Navy-Fighter-Attack/VFA-86-SIDEWINDERS-pictures/i-494QWGr/ I built one a couple years ago in similar markings. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235037751-hornets-sting/ Edited October 17, 2020 by Corsairfoxfouruncle

Blimpyboy
German Fokker D.VIII German Gotha G.V French Breguet 14 Soviet P-39 Austrian PC-7 USN SH-60 USN S-3A USAF SR-71 Algerian MiG-17 Possibly this German Hannover Cl.III (option 2 - not sure if you count this as being a proper snake, 'though). Now, this is one aircraft that is chock full o' 'Snake' You could always put this loadout on a VA-86 bird - then you have snakes on a 'plane marked with a snake... C'mon, surely that's a sign... Giorgio N
At least one Su-27 carried a cobra on its tail, picture and a build on this same forum: And of course a cobra adorned the YF-17 in some of the schemes carried by these two aircraft during their brief career
