corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Still adding some switchboxes on the Monogram one... Using Eduard as a template !! More to come soon, but I hear some Sea Furies crying on the bench... As my internal clock is war weary for this while, I'll not going to worsening the things... I think that I'll cuddle some sailors bird today !! Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Hello Dears, I spent some times on my next RFI these days... But I managed to work on my cobra's I suppressed the pylon on the monogram kit since the P-400 did'nt have it... But... I get a nice hole... So, plastic shim and putty are called up... I'm not in the mood these days since my 2 cats disappeared in less than a week... I'm sure that a neighbour killed them.... My tiny village was such an haven of peace... But now, we got a lot of peoples coming down from Charleroi... They told that they seek peace but act like they did in their previous places... Waging squabbles and war... Damn... I start thinking about moving further in the woods Or... Such a rightfull philosophy.... Ok back at models now... I also prepared the radiators inlets I think that the interior of Mr Rents's cab start looking right... More to come soon I'm very sad for my cats... 11years and 8 years really wealthy... And no way to know what has happened... That's gut wrenching for me.. Sincerely. CC 1

Corsairfoxfouruncle
Im so sorry cousin, cats are wonderful creatures and should be admired not feared or hated. Your sentiment is a good one, let the trouble come now and not in the future.
The Spadgent
Oh man. 😔 so sorry your two have gone missing. Hopefully they’re together and locked somewhere as cats usually are. They will hopefully come back thinner and hungry in a few days. Hopefully you can find some solace in your wonderful plastic endeavours. 2996 Victor
Just caught up with your thread, CC. Great work so far. But I'm so, so sorry to hear about your poor little cats; I really do hope they come home safely soon. Our little girl is such a delight, and I can't imagine how we'd feel if she disappeared, so I can't begin to imagine how you're feeling. Fingers crossed and thinking of you. Kindest regards, Mark
Biggles87
Very sorry to hear about your cats CC, I hope they turn up again unharmed. We have a 'barn cat' which adopted us several years ago and he sometimes wanders off for a few days but I'm always concerned if he's away for too long, he's getting a bit old now and not as agile as he used to be, like me really. Good work on the pylon removal. John 1

corsaircorp
Hello Dears !! I will reassure my friend @Dunny !! Don't you worry Man... Sharmouth are on their way... Repairing the wing.... and engraving it by the way... Then, the fuselage is on its way too.... But the russian will probably be in RFI first... I was about to let the gun bay open, but..... Everything has to be done.... And then I need room for the ballast, so enter the usual .38 special... A bit of fun now !! Rule 1- Read the destructions, that could be fun sometimes...😉 Study the drawings... From reference books... Rule 2- Except when this old kit has travelled a lot and parts are loose in the box.... Rule 3- Let's go but check real painting references... Rule 4- That make sense... Rule 5- Aaaaah that's where you start crying.... Rule 6- Really ??? Rule 7- My fav one... I do not rush at all, it's more a glacial pace.... I must add this !! Rule 8- Have a good old beer !! It help... Then if you start a Fonderie kit.... Have more beer... and Rum, cognac or anything at hand !! Now @LorenSharp it is also applicable to AZ kits, Mach2 kits.... And so on... Stay safe gents !! Happy modelling week end !! Sincerely. corsaircorp
Hello Dears, However, I get back from work at 2100, I managed a bit of desktime... Listening to my fav metal broadcast show 'til midnight !! Cracking on the shatkmouthed one so my friend @Dunny will rejoyce a bit !! Then, one can see behind the IP on the 'cobra... Soooo... Eduard just issued 2 Browning look alike, I'll add some instrument and wiring... Then Thursday, I went to my LHS for buying some hairysticks.... And this one jumped on my arms... Crying to be painted in british colours... As you bot know, it is hard for me to say NO in this case.... See you later Gents !! Stay safe !! Sincerely. corsaircorp
Hello Dears !! Come on let's break again.... In growing old an older, this plastic is like thin class.... I was boring holes to rectify the nose landing gear and clack !!! I keep CAAAAALM and tried to saw it off and replace the whole plate by plastic arms... Aaaaand gues what ??? Clack again... 🤬🤬🤬 Add to all this that yesterday it was the hydraulic clutch actuator of my van that break up.... Well the P-39is easier to fix... And far less expensive !!! Easy to guess what I will do in the next days... Back to plastic now... I glued the nose landing gear but on one half fuselage only.... That way all the angles are respected... And I see that some structures are still to be engraved... More to come soon Gents !! Stay safe !! Sincerely. CC
Biggles87
Monogram plastic was always quite brittle, and obviously gets worse with age. Glad you kept calm and saved it rather than throwing it against the nearest wall. What do you think will break next? 😜 John
