I think this is alright...

If you're going to do an M3, avoid the Italeri one. It's very old and requires a lot of clean up. Basically, it's showing it's age, and it's missing some details. Go for either the Tamiya offering, or the two from Hobbyboss.

Highly recommended new kit and not to be compared with the old Italeri kit.

It goes way back further than Italeri. At least four other manufacturers produced it, going back to the '70's.

I forget which one I have.  It’s 1/72 and the the link points to a 1/35th…

My scout car is from AccsGB...

And I have few other options I may pursue.  I might give up aircraft for a spell.

Should we ask Enzo for more days, give you a chance to finish a few?

I'll only be picking one or two...😄  I have some BlackDog resin bits for the Rolls and some of the others.

I've narrowed my scope a bit. keep it 1/72nd scale.   I re-read the rules and I think the half-track Soviet fire truck is allowed.  I would like tobuyild the M3A1 as a French Indo-Chinese vehicle so I will ask for some marking assistance when that time comes.  The Beaverette looks fun.  Not including the wheels, 3 pieces.

If I have time I'll try the RNAS armoured Model T from ICM.  I've built their 'T' kit already so I know how well it goes together (with care).

Correct, there is nothing in the rules about either armoured cars or half-tracks necessarily being military vehicles:

For the purpose of this build, a half-track is a land vehicle that has road wheels and tracks.  It does not have to be armoured.

John, all of those would be good options.

Do what you can, and catch up later if time allows; it is meant to be fun.
Real life takes precedence, whether that is family, work, or whatever.

With the start date approaching, anyone else flopping around with their subject choice?

Was all set to do the Daimler Armoured Car from Gecko, but last week or so been looking at ICM's Sd.Kfz.247 Ausf.B

Looks a good choice... Yeah do Igo old school Tamyia M8 Greyhound with Eduard PE or new school IBG Rosomak.....

Yes the Gecko kit was described literally being in the size of a shoe box, with 27 sprues and 56 pages of instructions - definitely not a weekend build.  Opening the box and looking at the highest number on each sprue to make a count of parts, I get 354, plus another 98 on their PE set.

ICM kit of the 247 Car has oddly 247 parts, and 28 pages of instructions.  There are two separate aftermarket PE sets available, so that can balloon the parts count, as well as the price.

regards,

Jack

Gekko kit has (almost) half as many parts again as the ICM offering?

Don't tell Enzo, but I'd be tempted to build the model with the smaller parts count.

I bet I'm speaking for @Enzo Matrix if I say "Build them BOTH". 😄

Going with the IBG Rosomak BUT have heard the wheels are fragile... Am I ok to build just them before GB start to see if I need after market ones?
