perdu
Come on Ced, took me longer to work out how to attach this to the post than to find it. Image 4 on a quick Google search The canopy sits on rails and slides up, in the process the two little canopy recesses give clearance to the antennae 8

I'm obviously pants at finding suitable reference shots. Thanks all 10
Biggles87
The aerials look in the right place now judging from the excellent photo posted by Bill. The manufacturers name used to be written on them ( forgotten it now ) and when I travelled to Heathrow on the A30, pre M25 I often saw a Landrover with one mounted on the roof! CedB
Thanks John - did the Landrover's canopy clear it? Fancied a bit of painting this morning and, as the masking mojo was low, brush painted the first coat on the Scooter's bottom: Went on well. See that arrestor hook? Black and white bands it has. Wish I'd painted that before I stuck it on 9

CedB
Thanks Mark - laughed did I Right, stripe mask. 25mm, 13 segments: … so that's (2 down carry 1) 1.923mm per segment. I don't have any tape that wide. Silhouette then: All I need to do now is summon the courage to wrap it around the hook and then cut off the relevant segments. And, now I've seen that picture, sand off the flash and repaint the white. 5

I'm sure you've already thought of that, so apologies! Cheers, Mark

Trouble is the Oramask wouldn't behave around the hook - it kept curling off, but Tamiya sheet did the job: Fiddly. Another coat on the bottom, thinned with the brush dipped in flow improver: One more and I think it'll be done. I need some masking mojo for the SHAR before I blast on the MSG but I still plan to brush paint the Scooter using the kit paint pots. Gulp. The tanks are a bit of a pain - camo on the top - so I need to paint that before the blue underside to avoid lots of fiddly wavy lines.
