Faraway
Many, many years ago (40+) I built a model of a Steam Traction engine, long consigned to the great plastic waste land and I have an idea do build another one. Do any of you know if there are any kits out there anymore ? Jon
Black Knight
What scale? Occasionally the KielKraft 1/72 sized ones come along on ebay for not too much money The big 1/16 one comes along but it fetches high prices The SE Finecast white-metal 1/32 one is another rarity but can be found amongst the model railway people rather than the plastic kit sellers

Just looking or a plastic kit. The one I built was about a foot long.

roymattblack
If yours was a foot long it would have been the Bandai kit. They pop up occasionally on Ebay and can go for funny money. There's a part-built one on Ebay right now: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Bandai-GARRETT-1919-Steam-Traction-Engine-1-16-scale-Model-Kit/274516458771?hash=item3fea74bd13:g:gWMAAOSw0M9fbKZi Edited October 6, 2020 by roymattblack

bentwaters81tfw
Pat bought two of these part started. I saw them at Peterborough, and the work done was OK. I thought of buying one and selling my unstarted example. but deferred. They were worth it if you didn't have one. Last one I saw unstarted at Telford 2018 was £
