ckw
AK's Intermediate Gauzy Agent gives a really hi gloss shine, is easy to spray (straight from the bottle) and hasn't reacted with the decals and microsol. Never used Humbrol's decal fix so can't comment on that, though I don't see why it should provided the decalfix is given 24 hours to thoroughly dry and any residue wiped clean, Cheers Colin

TheyJammedKenny!
I would use Alclad II's clear-coat--either the water-based aqua gloss or the lacquer-based clear gloss. Either will work wonders.
Space Ranger
I don't think a gloss coat is necessary, especially over metallic finishes.
Bangseat
Humbrol decal fix is strong stuff containing ammonia. Microsol is better for general use unless the decals are really difficult. Seeing as ammonia can be used as an ingredient in airbrush cleaner, you can see how it might react with certain acrylics, I've had glossy patches appear where I've applied it too liberally. I'd recommend changing your setting solution, not your gloss coat.
