Dust films on the tube

Recommended Posts

Tonight I discovered something new to me. I can't find another entry about it on here so I thought I'd ask.

There are a series of unrelated short films on you tube under the title Dust and then an episode title. Dust The Beacon, for example.

I've watched about five of them and find them impressive. Most were live action, but at least one was animated.

Have a look, I'd be interested in the thoughts of others. The Beacon was the longest I watched at about 25 minutes.

A link please, My Youtube search ability isn't all that good.

This was the first one I watched. An animation. There are lots of them, click away and enjoy.

between a Nimrod and a Bristol Brabazon!

Pretty much what I thought. And the engines are a mix of types too!

The live action films are well worth a look. There are at least twenty. Here's a couple I've watched already.

Saw a few over the last year or two, they pop up every now and then. Haven't gone searching for them but haven't seen a bad one yet.

Funnily enough I was watching a few of these last night, and they're quite good for shorts.  A few left me wanting more, which is always a good sign :)

I've often seen the Dust films advertised, and they looked good, but never actually gone looking for them.  Will hit Youtube tonight.  If anyone has Netflix I highly recommend Love Death & Robots.  Similar scenario, all animated shorts less than 20 minutes, each episode unrelated and by different people in different animations styles.  Some absolute corkers in there, not a single one I didn't enjoy but my top three hard as it is to pick just three were probably Three Robots cause its funny, Zima Blue was just a great story, and my favourite was Lucky 13 which was another amazing story.

Yes it was developed into a full length feature film ( 100 minutes ) and was released on Netflix in April '20.

They did the finish the movie and was released in December 2019. Well worth the watch in my opinion.
