Cobham has sold its entire Aviation Services to Draken International. That's a surprise.

That said, it does seem that a few of the aerospace/defence companies that have been bought out then get a lot of investment into them, that would have been lacking otherwise. Although, that is an argument for committing to national security and funding the required research.
