72modeler
Yep- it's the Hawk kit; the only chopper kit that I ever built! Actually pretty nice for its time, and the intermeshing rotor blades were fun to play with! I recall seeing a build a long time ago that super detailed the cockpit and interior that you might try to find. Even in 1/32, it wasn't a very big model. I think maybe Aurora did one in 1/48 in USN markings- most likely from the Helicopters in Industry molds that they acquired. See the link to a very nice walkaround from IPMS Nederland that should be helpful. jpk
I think Aurora released it in a few different markings. Marine, Navy and USAF.
Julien
Cobra company used to do a complete interior for this, dont know if its still available?

I think the answer to that is no. It's a while since I looked at the Cobra website, but the most "exotic" resin on there was for the Mi-24 Hind, IIRC. Chris. Rob de Bie
Be very careful when assembling the two rotors - the instructions in my Hawk version were quite unclear. Two important clues: the rotor should have dihedral (V-shape), with the trim tabs attaching to the bottom on the blades. Here's my set of rotors under construction: And here's how I painted the blades, after careful study of photographs: Rob

Space Ranger
What a weird looking flying machine. And it looks even weirder taxiing, like some kind of bug that’s too heavy to fly. And with a long enough stick, a crewman could sit in the rear doors and roast a hot dog in the exhaust!
Pete in Lincs
Love it. It's comparatively quiet. I know it's Flettner based, but it looks like it should be from Kamov.

bentwaters81tfw
Miss the Huskie. Very distinctive noise, you could hear it for miles. I have 2 of the Testor boxings, and 2 sets of Cobra Co interiors.

I've built that. It's an amazing little kit: https://jonbryon.com/amp-1-48-kaman-huk-1-huskie/ However, it's not a model of the subject of this thread... The "first generation" Huskies (HTK-1, HOK-1, HUK-1, and H-43A) were piston-engine powered. The turbine engine, as represented in the Hawk/Testors 1/32 kit, was introduced with the H(H)-43B model. Incidentally, for 1/72 fans, Croco makes an exquisite resin HH-43B kit. And then there's the Mach 2 1/72 kit, which can be made into a very nice model with some effort.
AMB
Hawk released two versions of this kit initially, one was motorised and the other static. I built the latter many years ago and loved this model. I have theTestors boxing in my stash and Thai Decal make R. Thai Air Force decals for it that I might consider as something different. I would dearly like to find the Cobra detail set, but it's like hen;s teeth,
