Heller Classic GB Build List

JeroenS

Recommended Posts

This is going to be a huge GB so we thought to make a nice list showing all the builds and the people building them! This list will of course be updated regularly. We have 100+ participants and we should expect multiple builds from a lot of you so we're talking hundreds of builds here 🙂

On a side note: we're only listing initial releases as per Scalemates info here, so in case you're building a rebox it could be that the kit number and year don't match with what you're building.

Note: a red (RFI) brings you to the build's gallery entry.

  • JeroenS changed the title to Heller Classic GB Build List

That looks familiar Jeroen ! 😉
Seriously, thanks for taking this on and all your background work will make updating this so much easier. It also might allow me to concentrate on building and commenting on everyone’s builds a little more.

This does promise to be a truly bumper GB and if the last two days proposed WIPs are anything to go by, we should see a huge selection of Hellers extensive back catalogue being built here.

Cheers and well done.. Dave (self proclaimed GB Build list founding member!).

Just realised my potential entry isn’t on the list, still keeping it cryptic what it is, what about types that are on that list but have additional parts to become a new type?

Hi Stu

Pop the details in the chat section or PM me, I'll keep your build a secret. Happy to discuss.

cheers Pat

Nah, being silly keeping it secret, probably will end up losing the auction anyway, but if I don’t it’s the E-3 sentry, the 707 kit with the added radome and new engines

Good luck in the Auction, I think Stevej60 might be after it as well. 😄

Hi folks, like Heather, I will try my hand at #380, the Ju52/3m.  I feel a stereotypical Ostfront peeling snow camo finish being attempted.

Should I wait to post my proposed build(s) until after the start then? :D

Can I ask a GB newbie question? If I finish my Amiot with time to spare, can I add another build at that point, or do I have to register all planned builds before the GB start son Saturday? Ta.

@TonyOD, you can build as many Heller kits as you want too within the GB activity dates and theres no need to advise your projected kits before this Saturday. It looks as if a few of us are getting just a little bit too excited and starting a build thread seems to keep us calmer before we all start hacking into plastic. I’ve got two planned for now, however will no doubt change my mind on the next one(s) before these are finished.
Cheers and enjoy the madness!., Dave

Thanks @Rabbit Leader - my stash will betaking a turn for the French over the next few weeks and I might find myself spoilt for choice by the time I've finished the Amiot (Choose, buy and build one kit at a time? Where's the fun in that?). As every build I do now is going to be a Heller a build, I might as well try and cram them into the GB as long as it's running, just for the laughs...

I'm sure there will be several salivating members jockeying to get onto this Heller GB "Leader's Board."... queue @TonyW

I think we should have a "completed ratio" leader board as well 😉

Who, me? Whatever gives you that idea? Perish the thought!

The temptation to list what I think I can do here is strong. I'll add a couple later. I don't want to clog the place up with a load of DNQ's though.

There's plenty of contenders here, the Santa doesn't count, apparently it's an Airfix model in a Heller box! Pat's responsible for another pair on the way and I've ordered a car that I've wanted to build for many years. That lot will keep me humming away like Hilda Ogden for a week or two!!!

I have a rebox of Heller's Hurricane IIc that has been a 'a project in box', certainly under 25%, I'd been working on fixing it's wing problem, so this is good reason to finish it up.

Ideal welcome to the GB Troy.

We're at 98 builds with @stevej60 leading by a nose length into the first corner, will @TonyW be able to keep up?

I can add loads Jeroen, finishing them is another matter. I'll get my opening salvo done and dusted before getting all excited again. The bottomless pit that is French camouflage colours is holding me back a bit at the moment!

I know nothing on that subject but I'm sure you could always employ the old "laissez faire" to speed things up a little 🙂
