JeroenS
Hi all, below is a list of all subjects concerning elligible Heller kits, per category, with links to actual builds in this GB when applicable. We chose to show subjects instead of kits as, well... a list of kits would have been endless, what with reboxings and all! So there can be multiple kits for one subject, but you may want to use this list to see if you have a unique GB entry in mind which no one else is building! For elligibility of the actual kit you'd like to build, check the Scalemates database or ask the hosts. Last updated: 15/02/2021 05:30 London time. TonyW
Nice one Jeroen, I can see quite a few of those getting names next to them over the course of the GB. The Cadet Series might give problems as far as listing goes as the subjects and scales are all over the place. The Mirage IV was also issued in three sizes, a box scale Cadet issue, a 1.72 scale and a 1.50/48 scale release. Tony.
rob Lyttle
Just a quick heads up on a detail related to the list, @JeroenS. Heller have 2 Talbot Lago cars on the go, the T26 racer and a stylish saloon called the Record. Your tag for Ottopv needs to go on the T26 option as he's got the same kit as me. And let's hope SOMEBODY has the brilliant Record car to enter 💡😎
JOCKNEY
Thats a turn up @rob LyttleI had you down for building the Norton, or can a Triumph man not bring himself to build a different British bike ? 😉 Good luck with the Talbot Cheers Pat

Funny enough, many years ago while I was doing a stint in the US, I happened upon a kit of a Triumph T100 complete with the Fonz from the TV show Happy Days. That was therapeutic knowing I had my Tiger 100 waiting for me when I got back to UK. Afraid that was a long time ago.
JOCKNEY
Thought i recognised the picture, a good friend of mine restored one, i remember spending many an hour going with him to autojumbles raking through teachests of rusty parts ! I still have a couple of BSA D1 Bantams which haven't been on he road in blooming years. cheers Pat

The Talbot Lago Record is actually the T26. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talbot_Lago_Record The racer you and ottopv are building is originally kit 721 which is the GP racer.

TonyW
That's interesting Rob. I have an early 1.48 kit, stilled sealed in its bag. The box is a bit rough though. It has quite a few boilerplate rivets showing on it. Maybe the mold got cleaned up and re-tagged as 1.48 to justify a different Cat. Number ? I doubt there were two completely different kits, but I've been wrong before! There's a ton of stuff to learn about the brand and it looks like the GB will be raising a few points along the way.

Pretty rare nowadays, I believe someone in the chat thread had a minter - obviously, that's a collector's item par excellence Meanwhile: I'll stick with these. I have alternatives for the missing parts where needed. (yay spares box & smart AM buys). Three are proper early 1970 releases, the Texan is slightly later.

Hi @rob Lyttle I looked into this some more and it appears the Record, the Grand Sport and the GP racer were all named "T26", with the GP racer being the "T26c". So now we know 🙂 In our subject / kit list we're using the subjects and descriptions as they are used on Scalemates, in this case these may not be specific enough. Nope, I do remember, but only the actual build threads are on the list so as soon as you start a thread for the 103 it will appear! And I'll tell you now that I'll be the first to follow it 🙂 .... with many others I reckon. No pressure though 😉 1
CliffB
Great stuff @JeroenS - keep up the good work! Here are four from my stash, that I don't think are currently on the list. Heller also did: Apollo Command Module North American X-15 Fiat G-91 Cheers
JeroenS
@CliffB You're right, these are new toolings from the Heller Cadet branding which we missed first time out when grabbing the info from Scalemates. I shall be adding those kits to the list shortly.

Rob S
Just looking at another alternative after deciding not to go with either of the “classic” 1:50 options I was considering (not that either one would get finished if even started given my GB track record!) and I noticed what I was considering was not on the above list. It is this kit : https://www.scalemates.com/kits/heller-63001-dump-truck--1021463 which looks to be based on about a 120t Wabco Haulpak and was available in the 80s in the Bobkit range although Scalemates is not complete enough to show it’s various issues only the last issue. Interestingly I thought the Bobkit issue was a rebox of this kit issued by Lindberg : https://www.scalemates.com/kits/lindberg-1200-dump-truck--1021483 but the scales are listed differently. The plot thickens ...

I’d bet a reasonable sum that they are two different kits given they did 1:50 and 1:48 kits of some other subjects like the Mirage III for example. Proof would of course be if someone had both!
