bootneck Posted September 27, 2020 Share Posted September 27, 2020 I want to build and paint this Westland S-55 series 1 Whirlwind in Bristow's livery but I'm not sure what the correct colours are. The grey looks especially suspect as I think the colour is affected by the setting sun. I use Vallejo acrylics and would be grateful if someone could advise me of the actual colours, plus the Vallejo equivalents please. Mike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have a colour photo of this in normal daylight and I would guess LIght Aircraft Grey would be correct for this. S&M decals do a civilian helicopter decal sheet for a Bristows Wessex in this scheme, which might be useful if you don;'t have it?
