Roman Schilhart
Dear fellow Britmodellers, I built Brengun's Yak-1 "Aces" boxing with markings for Mikhail Dmitrievich Baranov's "Red 1", flown in summer 1942 with 183.IAP. The kit is a multi-media affair, with plastic, etch and resin parts. Painted with Gunze/Mr.Hobby acrylics, weathered with artists oils from Winsor & Newton. Photographs by Wolfgang Rabel. # Thank yo for your interest in this topic. A detailled build review will appear in an upcoming edition of Scale Aviation Modeller International. Best greetings from Vienna, Roman Edited September 27, 2020 by Roman Schilhart 43

Bangseat
Beautiful build, thank you for sharing. What a lot of underside access panels the Yak had, I certainly didn't realise building the 72 Plastyk model...
Luis Alfonso
Hi my Friend Roman!!! Congratulations for this beautiful masterpiece you added to your shelves!!! I was wondering which one would be your next build, and thought it would be a soviet subject...as you had time going by since the last russian build. I was watching this beauty and liked a huge lot the way you have painted it and enjoyed the way you weathered all the job but specially the metal parts underside the bird, really gives the impression of metal planks added under the structure. Really a gem of a build. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Cheers, Luis Alfonso
kapam
Your usual top-notch result. Really inspires the desire to seek out the Brengun kit for the stash.

I used the following Gunze/Mr.Hobby acrylics: Gunze H303 Green, a mix of Gunze H77 Tire Black and H32 Field Grey for the upper surfaces and a mix of Gunze H65 Light Blue with a drop of Gunze H56 Intermediate Blue for the undersides.
