Hi everyone,

Latest build off the bench, the 1/48 P51 D Mustang from airfix. The first airfix kit i have done for a while and i was pleasantly surprised how well it went together, the details, panel lines etc are good.

Built out of the box and brush painted as usual with humbrol enamels.

Beautiful. This is the first time I've ever seen the top side of this aircraft and was unaware of the wing and vertical stab colours

I’m currently working on one of these, having already built an Airfix RAF P-51K, and apart from having lost the tailwheel leg to the carpet monster I’m enjoying it lots.

One thing I’m not too keen on is Airfix’s suggestion to use Humbrol 30 for the upper surface camouflage, I think I’ll go for either 116 or 117 which are both supposed to be US colours.

I'm calling BS! You don't really expect me to believe you used a hairystick to paint that, do you.

Dude, that looks awesome!
