Matilda Mk.III

This is Tamiya's 1/48 Matilda Mk. III.  It was built oob, painted with Life Color acrylics and weathered with oils and pigments.

That's really nice work. I did something similar a while ago but it isn't a patch on yours. I like the weathering on the mud/sand chutes.

Neatly done, and very effective weathering - not over the top.

 

The light blue might not be quite the right shade. I've read it was called 'Silver Grey' and was more of a light green. Incorrectly painted tanks in some museum collections haven't helped!

Thanks Ian - it certainly is a very different and distinctive camo scheme.  The Tamiya instructions state 'light blue' - I must admit that I didn't do any research for this one.
