Stephen W
Good for your first model, keep at it. Sometimes less is more, have a go at doing some light grime/dirt build up on areas using the oils light spray techniques on your next model. 👍

Stephen W
Keep practicing, experimenting and have fun that's the important bit This image may help for your next project as it helps me understand dirt. I usually look in the real world on how dirt is built up over time, where the dirt would land depending on the object. On a wheel it will be around the outer edges due to it spinning, on a flat surface it may just be around join panels and so on. As you can see by my badly draw arrows there are sections more dirtier that the rest, these sections are usually built up over time...day by day...dust...mud etc... When painting use light touches and a small spray to slowly build up layers, sometimes you may just see a light gradient difference, keep going until you get the effect you are looking for. I am learning to spray too as I do my painting in Photoshop so am going to invest in a sprayer over Christmas and by some broken large model kits off ebay to practice my techniques on. Enjoy it. 1
Hunter Rose
That's a good go for a first build, and fair play for doing something different rather than standard paint. Practice makes perfect and the more you do gradually you'll improve each time 1
